How do I find potential roommates?
Create a profile by completing a short sign-up form and confirming your email address. Then begin searching for other users interested in living in the same community or area as you. It’s up to you to decide the importance of each profile criteria and whether or not you think another user would be a compatible roommate.

How do I contact potential roommates?
From our roommate listings, select “Contact” and write a message. We’ll send an email on your behalf to your potential roommate. Please note, your email address will be shared with the person you are contacting.

What do I do when I find a perfect roommate?
Schedule a tour of your desired community! Once you've found the perfect apartment, you'll sign the same lease. 

How old do participants have to be to sign up for Roommate Finder?
Participants must be at least 18 years old.

Are there any costs associated with this program?
There are no costs for using Roommate Finder.

Who can see my profile?
All other active users in a similar area can see your profile information. You may disable/enable your profile at any time.

Will UDR share my information?
Your profile and email address will only be shared when you request to contact a potential roommate. UDR will not share your information with third-party vendors. See Privacy Policy.

How can I report inappropriate content or contacts?
Please use the "Report Misconduct" button on the Listings page. Our support team will review and remove any inappropriate content.

Who do I contact with questions?
Please email [email protected] for support. Please contact individual communities directly for questions regarding leasing, apartment availability, etc.
