If a new leaseholder moves in, the new leaseholder and all remaining leaseholders must fill out an application and qualify according to income and criminal standards. If a roommate moves out, all remaining leaseholders will need to re-qualify according to income and criminal standards.
UDR offers a No Hassle Relocation Guarantee incentive which allows residents to conveniently transfer from one UDR community to another with reduced fees and deposits. *Restrictions apply.

Balconies and patios shall be kept neat and clean at all times. No rugs, towels, laundry, clothing, appliances or other items shall be stored, hung or draped on railings or other portions of balconies or patios. Resident shall be mindful that their use of any patios or balconies does not cause any hazards or damage of any kind, or contribute to unsightly appearances on the exterior of the dwelling. No misuse of the space is permitted, including but not limited to, throwing, spilling or pouring
liquids or other items, whether intentionally or negligently, over the balconies or patios.
Resident shall not display any signs, exterior lights or markings on dwelling. No awnings or other projections shall be attached to the outside of the building or railing of which dwelling is a part.

How do residents renew their lease? |
Residents can access their renewal offer in the UDR Resident portal or www.myudr.com. All lease holders must sign the renewal documents in full. Valid renter's insurance must be on file and any Rhino deposit policy must be renewed prior to countersignature. Once the renewal packet, insurance, and Rhino (if applicable) are complete, the Centralized Renewals Specialist will send countersignature request to the assigned business manager.

Relocation to another UDR community requires a fee of $750.00 to be paid by you to the originating community.
A 30-day notice to vacate is required.
Resident agrees to fill out a new application for destination community. Once rescreened, approved and executed new lease, you may need to provide proof of income based on individual community criteria.
As an incentive for continuing your residency with UDR, you will not be required to pay a new application fee, administration fee or deposit at the destination community unless required for application approval which is set forth in the screening criteria.
All pet fees/deposits will require payment prior to move-in.
Your current deposit will be refunded, less any applicable cleaning fees, damages, and unpaid balances, following your move-out.
